Architectural solutions specialist Aliva UK has made three senior level appointments as it continues to grow its services in the design, manufacture and supply of ventilated facades and external wall insulation systems to add verve to building developments across the country.
To align Aliva’s services with nationwide ambitions to level-up the UK regions through major construction and infrastructure developments, Phil Dempsey has been appointed as Aliva’s Project Manager for the North and Scotland, with Chris Lawrence joining as Project Manager for the West Midlands, South West and South Wales.
Mavie Bhagi has also been appointed as Architectural Technician, to work alongside Design and Technical Manager Luca Meloni on Aliva’s suite of nationwide projects which include Boulevard Hotel (Blackpool), Newbury Racecourse Apartments (Newbury), Oasis Residence (Leeds), and Fabrick House (Cheadle).
Backed by six decades of Italian flair from its parent company, Aliva UK offers architectural expertise, with its design and engineering solutions complemented by a complete façade suite of specialist products including rainscreen cladding, insulated render and render only systems, paints, and polished plaster.
Mavie moved to England last year, having previously spent several years working as a senior level architect and technician for ceramic façade and design specialists Emilceramica SRL based in Reggio Emilia, Italy. She brings valued knowledge of delivering architectural drawings and technical consultations across a range of mixed-use and residential developments throughout Italy and Switzerland.
Phil and Chris both previously worked together for UK-based Comar, specialising in designing and delivering architectural aluminium systems for a number of national and international clients. They each practise in a range of architectural disciplines including curtain-walling, aluminium glazing, and building envelopes.
James Ormerod, managing director for Aliva UK, said:
It’s always a pleasure to welcome new people to the team but even more so in light of the challenges our industry is facing as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
We’ve been fortunate at Aliva to not only continue the majority of our work for our clients, but to also be in a position to create these new job roles in preparation for a growing pipeline of projects.
Mavie, Chris and Phil each bring valuable experience to the business and will help to extend our offer across the country. They will play leading roles across an exciting roster of new projects, with opportunity to work across our extensive range of high-end architectural products.
